CG Drones Inc. is a Division of The Cannington Group. A full-service environmental remediation company serving Ontario in a wide range of industries since 1976. The Cannington Group strives to provide value-add services and wished to introduce aerial mapping and surveying as a means of cost effectively providing centimeter level progress reports and stockpile volumetrics. Additionally, this could be done quickly and more frequently than traditional methods.

Clients began to realize the value of data and images, as well as the other applications in which drones can provide solutions. In 2018 the CG Drones team was incorporated and a management put together.

Now, CG Drones Inc. provides services to an array of earthwork companies, construction and developers, utilities, governments and others. CG Drones also works with enterprise drone manufacturers, accessory manufacturers and software developers, providing testing and direct input on the applications and requirements for the next generation of drones, while this industry continues to evolve by means of regulations, certifications, and technological breakthroughs.
